COOKING TAJINE Nadia Aqua 30cm
Brighten up your dinner table and appetite, with our authentic hand-painted tajine. Hand made in Tunisia, the origins of the traditional tajine is vast. Typically used in Northern Africa and also The Middle East, the Arabic origins come from the ancient Greek word meaning fry pan, the Sephardi and Maghrebi Jews were also known to cook in a tagine. This just makes it all the more enticing to try different cuisines in your tajine!
The tajine's conical shape creates a unique way of cooking. It is a sealed vessel, with very little liquid added. Slow cooking creates steam that moves up the conical lid, creating condensation which drops back into the food. This not only creates a tender slow cooked meal, it also enhances flavours and moisture which makes the tajine so special, the vegetables tender and the meat succulent and fall of the bone.
It is preferential when you use the tajine, use a simmer matt to diffuse the heat (98101) Please be mindful of thermal shock, so ensure that you do not use the tajine in extreme conditions (do not place on heat directly from the fridge, or from the heat directly into cold water or fridge or freezer)
