Cast Iron Cookware Care Instructions

To promise the quality of your cast iron is upheld ensure that the correct measures of care are employed.
  1. Heat Settings:

    • Avoid using Cast Iron cookware on high heat settings. Optimal cooking results are achieved on low to medium heat settings. High heat may cause the enamel to chip.
  2. Cleaning and Maintenance:

    • Before first use and after each subsequent use, wash your Cast Iron cookware in hot, soapy water. Dry it thoroughly before storing.
    • Allow the cookware to cool down before cleaning. Do not immerse hot Cast Iron in water.
    • Avoid using steel wool or abrasive cleaners on enamel-coated cast iron as they can damage the enamel finish.
    • For stubborn food residues, fill the pan with warm water and let it soak for about 20 minutes. Wash with soapy water afterward.
    • A special cleaner is available for tougher stains but is not necessary for regular cleaning.
    • Always ensure your cookware is completely dry before storing to prevent rust.
  3. Additional Care Guidelines:

    • Hand Wash Only: Do not clean Cast Iron cookware in the dishwasher.
    • Not Dishwasher or Microwave Safe: Avoid using Cast Iron in dishwashers or microwaves as it may damage the cookware.
